About Us

Flightpath Disc Golf is a Northern California based 501c3 Non-Profit organization. Our mission is to grow the sport of Disc Golf through education, resources and events. Established in August of 2023 by father and son, Rick and Brian Hargrave.

Education

Teaching the sport is an important part to seeing a bright future for Disc Golf. Our program 18 Aces offers kids at Grand Oaks Elementary School, Shasta Lake School and others (as we expand) the opportunity to learn Disc Golf. During this program we teach the basics of the sport, like putting, throwing and etiquette.

Resources

Resources are also important to encourage growth for the sport. Through the Glide Guide we are sharing the sport with those in stores, offices and more. The Glide Guide is a printed brochure discussing benefits of Disc Golf, where to play and where to purchase discs to play.

Events

Events are a great way to get people involved and playing Disc Golf. Our mission is to create inclusive event where everyone feels welcome.

Our Story

Flightpath Disc Golf originated as an answer to the request to teach Disc Golf in the After School programs at Gateway Unified School District in the City of Shasta Lake.

In 2023 we will have our first season of 18 Aces, where we will get the opportunity to teach many local kids the joy of Disc Golf. In September of 2023 we hosted our first tournament, the 2023 Trilogy Challenge at Anderson River Park. This event was a great success and created connections with many local companies through sponsorship.

Our future is bright with many different events in the works to introduce Disc Golf to the community, not to mention our success getting a new course in the City of Shasta Lake (more information to come).
